Dalmatian tuna stew

Onderwerpen in dit artikel

The original Dalmatian pašticada is similar to the provençal daube. Not surprising, of course, since Dalmatia, Croatia’s south-western coastal strip, has many influences from Italy and the menu features a lot of fish and shellfish. Pašticada is originally made as a meat stew, but you can also make it with tuna. This summer we got to taste it and what a tasty dish it was! Tuna is cooked in red wine, making it very juicy, soft and tasty. In summer, this dish is often on the menu as a daily special or ask for it when eating in one of the coastal towns in Croatia. Definitely a must!
